As part of the national water services activities, the government is now seriously looking on the Non-revenue water reduction works. According to Evaluation and Analysis of the various components of NRW losses (Prepared by IMA/AWWA) the components of NRW losses can be categorized as below:

In the past, the Non-Revenue Water losses averaged at a high percentage of 40%, which required an urgent need to overcome the water losses. Thus, with a proper management system in place, the water losses can be reduced to an acceptable level.
